Physical Therapy Billing Codes
Medical Billing & coding/physical therapy assistant questions?
Can you get a degree..(masters) in billing & coding? Every where I look it says certificate but I don’t really want a certificate.
And does physical therapy assistants use a lot of math? I’m terrible at math
Oh and do you have to be really social and out going to be a phical therapy assistant? I’m really shy that’s why I wanted to do med bill & coding?
Billing and Coding is only offered as a certificate. If you are wanting a degree, than you need to look at Health Information Technology associates degree or Health Information Management Bachelors degree. They teach billing and coding, but they also cover more health information topics like data analysis, disease trends, statistics and medical records, etc.
After getting a bachelors in Health Ihformation, you can go on to your masters if you decide to.
I do not like interacting with the general public, I like to just sit at my desk and work, undisturbed, so that is why I became a coder and I do not regret it a single day.
I am not familiar with phsycial therapy, so hopefully someone who is will be able to answer your questions about that
